Our Story
In the late 1700s, a tavern keeper named John Tennally opened a small public house at the fork of River Road and what's now Wisconsin Avenue — a waypoint for travelers and farmers hauling goods to the port of Georgetown. The crossroads took its name from that landmark: Tennally's Town, now Tenleytown.Â
Â
We took our name from that history: a modest establishment, built on trust rather than scale. A fitting namesake for a D.C. company built the same way — one relationship at a time.
